A very, very rare albino Echidna. The Echidna is one of only two monotremes in the world, both found in Australia - The Echidna and the Platypus, they are egg laying mammals that suckle their young with milk.
By the way, the first was ISO 1800 f/2 and the 2nd 640 f/1.8, both processed with DXO PL3 maybe just changed WB and crop (was an awful light with different bulbs and neons).
Shot with AF-C in H mode with eye auto focus.
I love this lens as well! Here is a shot of one of my grandsons with Z7, f/2.2 with 1/200s and ISO 1600 where I moved down the black to create more dark background.
The only reason why I need to use 1/160 or faster with is it just subject movement, especially with children, because they never hold enough for this sharp lens to show any movement!
Nikon Z6 + Nikon Z 85mm f/1.8S. First time i could test the eye-af in a real situation. My last camera was the Sony a7iii and I didnt feel much difference between the Sony and the Nikon. Its like over 90 % of my photos are sharp. Incredible combo
I am considering building a Z7 kit for landscape based on 24-70 S and 85mm S. One concern I have is the number of 85mm's on Buy/sell that seem to be turning over for third time in a short period. Are there a lot of "bad copies out there? Or are people buying in and deciding it is nice but not as nice as the 105mm and then selling it?
Any thoughts? Anyone compared it to Sony 85mm f1.8?
I have not compared it with the Sony, but I am very happy with my Nikon 85mm f/1.8 S lens. I wouldn't go by B&S forum sales, especially right now with all of the economy upside down.
Does anyone own both the 58mm 1.4g and Z 85mm? I feel like they both have that similar magic sauce to their rendering.
That 85mm is hardly available in the used market of my country. Might speak for its popularity and quality, even tho their is not much rage about it in the internet.

I see the Z 85mm rather as an extremely reliable lens that produces good to very good results under almost any circumstances. But I prefer the rendering of the Zeiss Milvus 85mm f/1.4, which is more lively. I would assume similar differences between the 58mm f/1,4 G and the 85mm f/1.8 S, but people who actually own both lenses can certainly give a more definite answer.
Concerning some questions : first I have no evidence but enough pictures seen to believe that the Nikon 85 1.8 s version is clearly superior to the Sony version ( 85mm 1.8 ) - both in rendering and sharpness, and possibly the way the colors are rendered !
I do have the 58mm 1.4 ( will use it tomorrow for a session again, next to the 70-200mm 2.8 FL ) - and had the 105mm 1.4e, which was extremely good, but I just didn't use it enough to justify it`s price.
I guess the rendering of this new 85mm 1.8 s and the 58mm 1.4 are really quite different - they have so different footprints I think.
What I like about the 58mm is it`s versatility and the smoothness of the bookeh, whereas the 85mm seems to be as described, very reliable, sharpness is much better, even in MFD, and only the most extreme softness and blurriness of bookeh seems to be missing, what is to be expected, compared to a 105mm 1.4 !
Otherwise - when I jump into the Z world eventually I will for sure get this lens !!
