I'm still amazed what you can pull out of these Riv files sometimes. Almost epic light, teased by mother nature once again
Not print quality when you pull this much but still usable. Dang 1.4mp upload makes everything look soft
Wow @WanderingCloud those are some nice shots. General question to everyone in this thread: how does the CA correction happen? Is it pre baked into the RAW? Do you have to apply it manually every time? Is it ever so strong you just can't correct it without grey edges?
Honestly, this thing is basically functionally perfect and its output image is otherwise very attractive. Just spent so much time correcting CA with previous systems that when I heard how bad the CA was on this lens I avoided it like the plague .
Thanks for the response. If I had as much time as I did about 10 years ago, I'm sure I'd agree. CA aside, that's a hell of a lot of lens for the price (esp. now at ~500 eu on amazon de). I am already way behind on editing as is, however. Cheers, and keep taking great shots.

I totally get you. Sometimes one click away feels like a life time once you get older.
Hey man, I remember YEARS of finding edges, and then custom masking desaturate or color cloning zones. Took hours. If I literally never had to interact with it, I probably would get over it. But even just thinking of doing the one click we have now gives me flashbacks
I got my second copy of this lens. Corners are better than the earlier one and its sharper all across. Wide open sharpness is much better than my earlier copy (in the centre), Same horrible CA. I never had problems with rendering on this lens. (All this infinity).
I always shoot fabric to figure close/mid sharpness and my first copy wasn’t as crisp. This is not like 90 G which just goes inside the fabric net but pretty good.
Will do while i wait for the similar sized GM 1.4.
