I’ve owned this lens since launch and haven’t used it as much as I should. I recently got the 16-35mm GM and now I’m thinking if I’d be better off with something like the 24mm GM (not used in crop mode though).
The funny thing is this lens has such great AF, IQ and size/weight but there’s just something about it that doesn’t interest me as much as my old 35mm lenses (35mm Art and Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS).
I’ll try use it as much as I can over the next few months and make a decision on it.

Everyone has their preference. I don’t think you could go wrong with those other lens choices. I’m curious what is preferable about the Canon lens to this one? The Art I can see as having a special look.

I’m not sure how to describe it but I found the Canon had a certain quality about it that I just loved. I quite liked the Art too and do miss it, I just couldn’t deal with the size.
I honestly think I just need to use this lens more. I wanted the 24mm GM once and found the FOV to be very similar, but the price of this lens and the fact I’ve always used 35mm won.
That’s what I love about this lens. It’s so easy to carry around casually that you end up getting that random cool shot that you might not otherwise have gotten. These are very nice!
So when doing street photography I found the 24GM too wide, 55 1.8 too long and the Rokinon/Samyang too big, looks like my offer on GT just got accepted, can't wait to try this lens and its "special" bokeh 😂
