Lake Ellen WIlson is one of my favorite backcountry campsites - however, never been there in good weather. Must be beautiful on a clear day!!

I started playing with macro photography using FE24-105 with a set of 10/16 extension tubes plus LED flash ring light attached to it.
I tried number of lenses in my possession including primes and zooms, but the 24-105 with its native close minimum focusing distance and reasonable magnification turned out to be the best performer.

I love my 24-105, It is incredibly versatile and I see it as my "old reliable". Unless it is really dim and I need faster than F4 this lens is a work horse for me!

The 24-105 is pretty remarkable for its fine performance across its range of focal lengths and apertures.
Yes,but pictures would have looked worse without digital aid (lens profile). It corrects strong vignetting, some visible distortion and CA.Sharpness across the frame though is excellent straight from the camera.

The 24-105 never lets me down as a travel, walkaround lens. Not too large and heavy to walk all day with, great FL range, excellent IQ. Always in my travel bag.
These from my last trip before Covid-19 shut everything down
