Sorry this is not really image related but I thought I would get the best answers from folks who actually have the 600mm GM. On mine I am using the Lenscoat cover on the lens, it seems to be very protective because it's thick. But also because of the thickness, when i put the 3-D print lens hood in reverse position, it's pretty tight and takes a bit of effort to squeeze in. I am wondering what lens cover you folks are using on your 600 GM? I see RolandPro and some other skin type covers are being used as well.
Lenscoat for me and I am quite happy with it. When I am not using the lens it goes into a Ruggard lens case but the 3-D hood is off the lens due to the issue you noted. Also, I used an Exacto knife and removed the clear plastic window that covers the lens buttons.
Thanks for chiming in, guys! I ordered the Rolandpro to try it out. The 3-D printed hood I got from Jon is so much more compact than the OEM hood. I stored away the OEM hood as soon as I got my lens.

First images with the A1. Had some hits and misses today. I need to read up a little on the recommended settings and experiment this week
