It's been great to suddenly have some Hairy Woodpeckers in the back yard (normally a rare sight), but only females. Hopefully a male shows up some day.
My 600GM arrived this afternoon and had about a 30 minutes of good light. Have a pond at the end of my block in my Az neighborhood and managed a couple of shots. Needless to say this lens is awesome . Shots were handheld with an A7R IV

Congrats and welcome to the club, Steve! Great first images with that lens! I bought your 400mm DO Mark II some 4 years years ago. It is ironic that we are both using Sony now...

I didn't remember who I had sold the DO to but it was a nice lens. I wanted to test my A7R IV AF with the 600GM for AF speed and it's definitely better than the 2-600. I know it will be great on the a9 2. Thanks
Wow, wow, wow!!! The images are simply stunning. Thanks for sharing Joshua, Colin, Steven P., Terry S., Sha Lu and others. I am sold on this lens. Will post some shots soon.
Ruhikant those blow me away! I don't even know how you tracked this little terror! Those are mind blowing Kestrel IF shots, simply amazing..................I couldn't resist tinkering on #3 Looks like someone fired a rocket at this guy

I wish we had 'Vote' buttons in the Sony Forum
Karl
Thanks Karl, I am not good at removing wire/twigs, I confess
