Looking at a Limpkin with what looks like a clam in its beak.
Cropped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G set to 600mm and A7rIII; silent shutter.
ISO 100, f6.3, 1/200 second.
Exposure corrected -0.39 Stops.

For me it depends on how much light I have, how far away the birds are and if I'm trying for fast BIF or just perched birds.
If I'm going after fast BIF then I will usually use the A92.
If I have very low light I will usually use the A92.
If I'm really short on reach then I use the R4 and will use the R4 for perched birds when I have decent light (doesn't have to be full sun but not gloomy rain).

Thanks , other than the high file size they are both full frame cameras so I guessed you were cropping on the R4 more than the A92. Looks like the A92 could really fit the bill for most shooters if they could only have, and afford 1 camera.. Spectacular work with any body!! Appreciate the insight.

California Quail can be found perched in your nearest state park or roasted in your local Chinese restaurant. This one was very squirmish when an Asian photographer was sighted.

I got a few minutes with these two to photograph
then they thought it was enough and flew away
unfortunately I didn't get that magic light and only got pictures with iso 6400 but it was an experience out of the ordinary for me
However, Bearded Reedling (Skäggmes in Swedish) is not very unusual in Sweden, it is just to find the places where they are and hope for luck

Great shots and funny story line. It's been 25 years since I've eaten Qual. I'm not Asian but I've love to have it again

I've only seen this species one time in heavy shadow, so great to see yours appearing in the light.
