Fine work Douglas. I don't now how much de-noising you did but on my monitor it looks like you could have gone up more on the ISO if you'd wanted.
I'm surprised (happily so living where I do) that ISO noise cleans up pretty well on the Riv.

Very nice.
Is the last one an Anna's hummingbird? It looks like the pics I have been searching. I have an immature male in my yard in Texas, way off course to be here. Hoping this cold weather doesn't move it along.
Yes the last one is Anna's hummingbird. Remarkably they actually stay through our winter months and don't migrate. Of course we are in a very temperate part of Canada on Vancouver Island so they only occasionally experience snow and below freezing temps. I think some of them must be migratory but not all. We also get Rufous hummingbirds all summer but they all migrate south for the winter.

Thanks Robert. For those you referred to, I only used Lightroom noise reduction. I just learned to use the Topaz denoise AI, it's unbelievable, to the extend that I think the results are unrealistically clean in some cases. But it's good to have more options.

Thanks very much for the info on the Anna's. Upper 20s this morning and it was on the feeder before sunrise. Hope to see him tomorrow after lower 20s tonight.

Douglas, yes I too love Topaz Denoise AI, fantastic plug-in (or stand alone), BUT there is also Topaz AI Clear. Try it and I think you will be amazed and what a software can do. I believe (don't quote me) that it can be found in Topaz Studio 2. I've been using it in Topaz Studio for some time.

The ai clear algorithm can be used in denoise ai as well, there is a drop-down. I'll do that when I don't like what ai does with the subject.

If someone has commented/liked/etc. your post I don't think can do anything with it anymore. Might even be that even if someone post something after your double you can't do anything about it.
