Here are couple of my first shots with the lens and my A9. I find the lens large, but useable handheld. My part could certainly be improved more than the image quality of the lens.

Looking at a Great Blue Heron in breeding plumage; an alligator can be seen in the water to the right and behind the Heron.
Fairly heavily Cropped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G set to 600mm and Sony A7rIII camera; silent shutter.
ISO 100, f6.3, 1/640 second.

It's impressive that you can see the bullets in these pics! Do you know the shutter speed in these pics? Those bullets are headed out the barrel at about 3,000 feet per second.
