Thank you! No I didn't use any of those just straight from the 200-600 lens with trees or blue sky as background when positioning the shots. Asian Joro spiders are huge so I had no problem getting shots without the need of high magnification.

Hooded Merganser - in heavy backlighting, but the A1 withstood the exposure tweaks in post quite well, I think
It was in the shade of a willow, and the sun was quite strong behind it
