I am working on getting closer and closer to birds. I saw a comment somewhere that you have to grow up to 400 2.8 or 300 2.8 lenses. Well, at the moment 840 mm is sometimes not enough

I have had both in the Canon line. Both wonderful lenses! But your range did most excellent here!!!!!

Cooper's Hawk looking for a meal. Too bright, cold, and windy late in the day. He had just jumped out of a stick pile where he'd been jumping around back and forth for a least twenty minutes. He didn't catch anything...

Looking at a Snowy Egret in Breeding Plumage with one leg raised just after scratching itself around its eye.
Cropped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G set to 600mm and A7rIII; silent shutter.
ISO 200, f6.3, 1/2500 second.
Exposure Corrected +0.69 Stops.
