More kestrel action from yesterday... The first image was cropped significantly (quite a bit more than 1:1) but it was a few images I could get of the kestrel carrying a prey. It has several favorite perches and where it would land to enjoy the catch is everybody's guess. The second image was cropped also but quite a bit less than the first one. I ran to the spot to get the shot, which I had to do between two barb wires.
I don't use my 1.4X TC on the G 200-600mm lens that often but I had to for the reach here. Although I was impressed with the optical performance of the bare lens and now I realized how well the TC performs in terms of AF and IQ. In terms of IQ, this is using the A9 II with its 24MP sensor.

I’m using a ThinkTank Streetwlker (older version, not the pro). Fits very similar to what Douglas showed in the Mindshift. I’d assume the V.2 Streetwalker is similar. I’d actually prefer the Mindshift 18L for its rear access. Looks like the Mindshift may have just a touch more room than the Streetwalker but I can just squeeze in when TC is on.
If I’m taking my 600/4 out I use my F-stop Anja with XL ICU for both lenses, both TCs and a body. But all is disassembled.
F-stop bags är really nice , I have a Tilopa and Anja with ICU Pro XL ,ICU Pro Large and ICU Medium
