Here are the remaining images from the sequence I started posting in the previous page. The female peregrine falcon grabbed the kill the male brought back and she took off to feed their chicks. The male showed some reluctance of letting the kill go but he seemingly realized his “obligation” in providing for the family and watched her fly away...

I was taking those images on a pretty high bluff over the Pacific Ocean, which provided the background. At that distance, the crushing waves and the rocky coast are rendered as smooth bokeh at a FL of 600mm. Thank you again, Dan!

Went to Conowingo again today to shoot bald eagles, but it was a meh day for eagle actions. The fish catching actions were few and far between, when they happened, it was either butt shot or too far way (even for A7R4+200-600+1.4 TC in crop mode) with busy backgrounds. Anyway, here are two shots that are more interesting to me than the eagle shots from today.

12800 ISO! They are so clean... did you use topaz for noise reduction or something else?

I use Auto-ISO but I set the limit to ISO 12800. My shutter speed is between 1/2000 to 1/4000 to freeze the motion and based on the aperture of f/6.3, that’s the ISO I get on cloudy morning like that. Yes, I ran Topaz Denoise AI on those files. And I am quite happy with the results.

Love the first one, this one is at F/10 looks to be the sharp one, so perhaps stopping down helps with the TC?

Thank you, Tim. I think I just accidentally bumped the F9 to F10, I doubt if that had much to do with the DOF. F9 is the "brightest" when the 1.4 TC is added to 600mm at F6.3.
BTW, the Sony TCs are really good, in terms of sharpness and AF, as demonstrated by Geoff, Joshua and many other capable hands.
