I recently returned from a long road trip driving my daughter back to her home in Bellingham after she spent much of the pandemic with us. This gave me an opportunity to test out my recently acquired 200-600 with the A7R4 (latest firmware). My expectations for this lens were definitely exceeded. It's reasonably lightweight, very sharp, and played well with the A7R4. These shots are from Montana, Yellowstone, and Custer State Park. All are handheld. All in all, I'm very pleased with this lens and the portability factor that's tough to beat. In the coming months I hope to improve my skills with this lens and find more chances to take advantage of its capabilities!

What a wonderful set of wildlife images, Stuart and an excellent variety, too! Like you, I am impressed with the combo 200-600mm plus A7r IV with the new FW. Since then I have been using more the A7r IV than my A9 II for wildlife.

Goldfinches on sunflowers and a couple Mockingbirds on poke berry. All with a7R4 + 200-600mm + 1.4x. I think most are in crop mode also...so ~1200mm. I did have a lot of focus trouble on the backlit Mockingbirds

Beautiful capture Ronny, as usual. You got us all spoiled with your exceptional quality pictures.
Out of curiosity, is this cat a clean breed Ragdoll, perhaps a male, or is it a mix with Maine Coon one?
We have a girl ragdoll at home and she looks similar, only more furry...
