^^^ very nice swan image indeed. Always tough to know where to put that highlight slider so the image says WHITE in all caps like this image demands, but you still see some feather structure!

These were shot with the a9 and the 200-600 at an airshow on Sunday. I used the A7RIV+100-400 GM+1.4 TC 95% of the time for the resolution. The 20 FPS of the A9 gives me better odd of capturing the jets crossing from each other.

Did I ever tell you guys Poof and I were charged-chased by two bull moose? It was 2 years ago at the same location this shot was taken. Our hearts where racing and afterwards we understood first hand that a moose can outrun a horse!
This time we maintained social distancing giving the browsing alces plenty of room. Cameron Pass Colorado.

Do you still use your A7RIV with 200-600 with good success since FW 1.20? I may pick one up for extra pixel density
Thanks

I don’t use my 2X TC that often regardless of the camera/lens. Yesterday, I used my GM 600mm on the A7r IV plus either the 1.4X or the 2X TC. The difference in AF performance is noticeable but still I managed to get a few keepers with the 2X. But it was hard to track flying birds at 1200mm, especially if you are dealing with black-outs in the viewfinder. Next time I go back and shoot out there, I will just use the 1.4X TC. BTW, although I took my A9 II with me but I didn’t use it at all yesterday. I just love the details and cropping capability the A7r IV brings about....Show more →
