Thanks so much! That was the info I needed. I will probably hold off on getting this lens for now. I do have plans of moving to the A9 series in the future. Much rather get the shot than the added IQ/dynamic range. I do miss my A7RII, though.

Douglas a bit of good news.
We spent a long weekend at the mountain cabin where we'll retire to in 372 days. I saw 3 hummingbirds there. We have Oswago/Beebalm occurring there naturally....of course not in great spots for imaging, but lots of it. My seeds have arrived but I also need to study transplanting from one spot to another and creating a area dense with it.

Thanks Robert. I just bought a couple "Black and Bloom Salvia" plants, a newer version of the "Black and Blue Salvia", which I noticed the hummers love! It will not survive in really cold temperature though. I ordered 4 Hot Lips salvia after reading Geoff's post, hope they will make it in the winter in Maryland.
I think Beebalm, Cardinal flowers, the right type of Salvia, plus one or two feeders, will keep you busy with hummers.

Indigo bunting hiding from me in an autumn olive bush - shot through the branches of a maple. A9 +FE200-600 + 1.4TC. No crop. The file loses a lot downsized for the web - maybe I need to get better at that.
