Nice images! I'm considering selling my Fuji X-T3 kit to acquire the Nikon Z7 System, and was wondering how you think the image sharpness of the 24-70 f/4 Nikkor S compares to the 24-70 f/2.8 Nikkor S.
Thank you, and have a happy and Safe Fourth!

I'm a nature photographer that shoots 60% wildlife and 40% landscapes. I use two Z6 bodies and 3 D500's.
I use my Z6 bodies with the 14-30 f/4S, 24-70 f/4S, and 200-400mm f/4G VR. My preferred body is the Z6 unless I am photographing flying birds. For all but fast and erratic species, the Continuous AF is more than good enough. Furthermore, the AF accuracy is fantastic. My two (well actually three) Z-mount lenses 14-30 and a pair of 24-70 f/4's are more than I could hope for when it comes to landscape applications.
Unless you need an f/2.8 lens, I strongly suggest you buy the kit 24-70 lens with whichever Z body would meet your needs. Look through this thread and you will see many amazing photos w/ Z bodies, Z-mount lenses, and F-mount lenses.
I miss Oregon Coast. We were supposed to be there last week for a couple days but since the US/CA border is closed.... it will have to wait. Hopefully not too long.
We love BC also and are very sad we can't visit. Hopefully all this COVID stuff will pass soon.
Cheers
Wes

They are pretty close.. but, in terms of overall pro's the 2.8 is sharper, plus you have the advantage of a 2.8 instead of F/4, which to some doesn't matter to others it does. If you can swing the 2.8 S, I'd do it. I read a few reviews and so far, they said its the best 24-70 they've tried, including the 24-70 GM from Sony. Also, I agree.. I had the Z7, great camera but now I have the Z6. I didn't need the 45mp. The Z6 is the better one in video and also low light situations.
