They are pretty close.. but, in terms of overall pro's the 2.8 is sharper, plus you have the advantage of a 2.8 instead of F/4, which to some doesn't matter to others it does. If you can swing the 2.8 S, I'd do it. I read a few reviews and so far, they said its the best 24-70 they've tried, including the 24-70 GM from Sony. Also, I agree.. I had the Z7, great camera but now I have the Z6. I didn't need the 45mp. The Z6 is the better one in video and also low light situations.
I dont have any of them cause I prefer a 24-xx/4.0 lens which is lighter. The lens to get for the Z system is the S 50, finally Nikon gets 50 mm right. Well my 1.8 50 G was competent enough but the S 50 just produces beautiful results, more like the Zony 55 without the purple fringging.
I recently read about some Z mount Extension Tubes from Meike. They are very inexpensive, so I figured I'd give them a try.
I was at the office when they arrived, so I looked around for something to test with. This bolt was sitting on my desk, so I decided to have a look at the Loctite.

I am still working through a set of images that I took in June 2019. These are from the Northwest corner of British Columbia. I get really backlogged, because I write for a magazine and my blog.
These things are fun projects that make virtually no money, as most of my time is spent teaching biology and working with educators on how to leverage technology.
You can imagine that it has been a crazy busy world with respect to the latter and Covid-19... Most weeks I feel as if I am barely one step ahead of my colleagues who are trying to teach a full load digitally.
Send me a PM if you want to learn about a great place to photograph black bears. There is a great location where you can really do some intimate photography of wild bears for a reasonably price.
