"No New Normal" - that is the motto, which I hope many will eventually write on their personal daily agenda !
What we are all going through now, more or less, is a change and an attack on our personal freedom and prosperity, which is far more dangerous than "the Virus", for the vast majority .
We all are hopefully getting more and more aware of these developments and it`s general dangers for the life of all of us !
Sorry for this kind of "political statement" - but I hope that just more of us will wake up and not live with their eyes closed in these very difficult times !
Greetings from Germany ( where there is a growing sense of awareness and resistance , at least little by little ... )...Show more →
Thank you! I appreciate your take on the message the photo means to convey. There's an attack going on, but also a kind of retreat, which in some ways scares me more. I will never hide from the Boogeyman!

Phil, That is an amazing photo. How far away were you?
Thanks buddy.
I was lurking from an upstairs window looking out at the tree box. It's pretty close - approx. 25~30 ft. The image was not cropped if that's any indication. Lol!

Wow - effective focal length is then 1800mm I suppose !
Great capture indeed !
Yes Sir, 1800mm Effective FL. Tripod definitely required for this one. Lol!
This one did raise one shortcoming of the Z50 that I don't often worry about. It sure would have been nice to be able to use a remote trigger, but the Baby Z has no port.
Pick from the last couple days, trying to break the monotony of everything being shut down, exercise, hike and photograph a bit. Work days are a bit of a grind.
Z6 and either 24-70 or 50 or 14-30 (that one I haven't used in a while).
In response to NissanPatrol, the lens is the Sigma 100-400 f5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary. I have had the lens for about 6 weeks (purchase second hand only a month old) using it for garden birds during lockdown. I am very happy with the IQ finding it better at 400mm than my nikon 300mm pf at f8. The focus aquisition is certainly quick enough for the subjects I have taken to date and there is no hunting. Just waiting for lockdown to end in order to try BIF. If I am happy at its BIF performance I will sell the 300mm as the sigma is more versatile, has better vr, and is producing better images.
