Do you mean you can not adjust the aperture on the camera body with the sub command dial? Like a old Zeiss ZF lens? or a Nikkor AI lens?
Anyway, with the Z CV 35/2 AL we have to set the aperture manually.

You seem to be really enjoying the Zf, Scott! I do as well and am surprised how much I reach for it instead of my Z8 on a daily basis. Still prefer the Z8 overall, but the Zf is a really compelling camera, and the image quality is fantastic.
I too have been a little shocked at how much I tend to reach for it over anything else. I love my Z9 and can’t imagine getting rid of it, it’s the most capable camera I have ever owned and all excuses are on me when I don’t get the shot I want, but it’s no daily driver!
The ZF has ended up being such a good little camera that I sold off my X100V this week.

I am curious, how do you like the 40mm f2? I am considering it for lightweight and compact set up with my Zf. I always categorize that lens as not good enough but these photos are proving me wrong.
If you dig the funky rendering it’s a no brainer, it has fast and accurate AF and is light and relatively small.
