Colin, thank you for the encouragement. I wish if it was 80-400, but when I see the image it produces, I ‘d rather it being 100-400 x4 zoom than optically more challenging x5 zoom
Have had ZERO time to get out anywhere besides my own backyard for a few minutes a day, so have been playing with recording our bumper crop of zinnia flowers this year. The variation in color and shape are proving fertile grounds. Who would have thought a simple bunch of flowers could be seen so differently.
Not on the artistic level of the majority of the shots here, nevertheless it was fun to turn the post processing knobs a little more uninhibitedly with this two pics.

I have got to ask how you managed to stop blowing out the highlights.
Did you underexpose or use a graduated filter or was there enough cloud to hold things in check.
