I led a "Photo Walk" around Brookgreen Gardens yesterday morning for 2 hours. It was 90+ and the real feel temps were near 110! Ugh, what a morning, thought I would pass out! Over 40 people showed up, expected maybe 20!

I was supposed to do some hiking & landscape photography around Mount Baker at sunrise (the weather forecast and recent trip reports were all super promising). 3:50am wake up to be 'there' at sunrise. The wind direction shifted overnight & the smoke arrived. Let's just say it's not the landscapes I was looking for.
That's Mount Shuksan from Artist Point. Mount Baker was invisible / hidden in smoke.
Here are three images from a hike up Park Butte, which is just south of Mount Baker. I did the hike on Tuesday, a couple days before the smoke from nearby forest fires blew into the area. These images were taken with the Z7 and the 24-200mm Z lens.
Here is one other image from that same hike. This is South Twin Sister and North Twin Sister mountains. For those of you with interests in Geology, the Twin Sisters mountain range (immediately southwest of Mount Baker) consists of one of the world's largest exposures of dunite rock which is formed deep in earth's mantle.
