Friends of ours who've seen photos of this arch, and then visit us later, are always stunned at how tall and wide it really is.
In images, it looks big but not that big. it's 630 feet high and 630 feet wide. Incredible monument.
Several photos from Monday with the Tamron 100-400 lens. It seems very well built and sharp for a $800 lens. Mine was recently purchased on B&S and i added a I-shoot tripod collar.. The F6.3 at 400MM is tough to deal with wire cages and blow away the background.

I do not spend a lot of time photographing insects, but I do like well composed images that reveal something about an animals' habitat.

Here are a couple images from a trip to San Juan Island back in May. The first image is taken with the Z9 and the 500mm PF lens, looking across to the Olympic Mountains. The second image is taken from the San Juan to Anacortes ferry, with the Z7 and the 24-200mm Z lens.
