I took out ZF.2 25mm / f2.8 distagon. If it did not flare as much as it does, I would be using this lens more. Anyway, it was a great reminder how much fun this little lens is.
Playing with the 24-200 to see how much separation it's capable of. I'd prefer faster than f/6.3 but does okay even at intermediate distances and bokeh isn't too offensive. Does get a bit busier (more in focus) at the very edges of the frame but not too noticeable unless you're looking for it.
More Z7II images. Unfortunately, still having to do a convoluted RAW conversion so as I can still use Capture One Pro as this is the easiest converter to use, IMO. I convert the RAW images to TIFF using Adobe Camera RAW and do no adjustments. I then adjuct the TIFF files using Capture One Pro, which has all the functionality as if it were a RAW image.
These two shot just above the Satin Bowerbird's "bower", a nest on the ground that features "treasures" that the male collects to entice the female to mate. The Satin Bowerbird collects blue objects like blue milk bottle tops and blue plastic straws etc and litters then around the bower to attract the female.

Akul - these are really nice shots !
I like the B&W versions quite a lot , especially No 2 here, though the last one in color is also very beautiful ( so subtle colors here).
It shows how versatile the 24/25mm lenses are indeed , and of course what little gem this Zeiss 25mm 2.8 is ! ( As you say

Lance - again I am astonished by your bird shots !
So crisp and alive and making me really feel very close to the scenery !
Thanks a lot for uploading !
I guess the Z7 II is in some aspects really not so much different from the original z7 , but of course with several very welcome improvements.
Myself I do consider getting the Z 7 used in the near future, but I am still not 100percent sure about this, since there are now so many options ( even waiting one more year to see what Nikon is coming up next...)

Thank you so much for your comment. The 25/f2.8 was the ugly duck in the ZF.2 family and Zeiss didn’t even make ZE version, and yet, It is a very capable, light weight lens with great rendering. On my D810, focusing through OVF is hard especially for environmental portraits. Mirrorless brings a new life to this lens.

Lance,
Gorgeous feather renditions from Z7II. They are so crisp and clear. Beautiful works. By the way, your works wake up my interest in C1. In terms of your ‘temporary’ work flow, Do you prefer Tiffs as intermediaries than DNG?

Thank you very much for your generous comments, Luka. Much appreciated!
I had tried DNG before when I first got the Z7 and there was no RAW conversion from COP but wasn't happy with the way they turned out. It seems like converting to TIFF works better.

Thanks Lance. It is good to know that Tiff worked better for you. If I get COP now, there should be no issue with RAW file not being read as my newest camera is Z6, but I have a bunch of DNG I converted a while back, so something to keep in mind...
