Used Sigma 135mm lens arrived this week. Employed it to photograph the neighbour's dog, Minnie. The shots were taken over a 5 foot fence. The close up is heavily cropped. Permission was gained before the photos were taken. I am replacing my Samyang lens with the Sigma due to it possessing af. In terms of image sharpness the Samyang equals the Sigma. Eye af was employed and worked flawlessly.
I'll try a couple more, All Z6II, 500PF, NX-D for PP. Can't get PL4 to run the files.
I really like the Z6II, seems quicker to focus, quicker for startup, and the AF subject tracking works phenomenal, especially for quick shots. No BIF today, as the winds were 30 mph with 60-75 mph gusts...
This is some work that I did with my Z6II this morning... the deer were on the move, offered some really unique perspectives. To process these pictures, I had to change the EXIF data so that the camera reports as a Z6 instead of Z6II. I could get into the raw files once I made this change
All pictures were taken with my 200-400mm f/4 VR. For those wondering, the key differences I've observed between the Z6 and Z6II are the following:
1. Camera wakes up much faster
2. AF locks on target very quickly... D500 quickly!
3. AF single point is super accurate... just look at the eye of the deer obscured by the wild cucumber vines.
4. AFC is more reliable than the Z6... tracking in the woods was surprisingly good.
