Here are several hand held panos of Northern Ontario's changing fall colours (early days), captured with the Nikon Z6 and Nikkor Z 24-70mm f4S. Close inspection reveals the incredible detail rendered by this gem of a lens...

Thanks Chris. Very nice!
I was on my local dealer’s list for the 24-200 when it was released but with no travel planned this year I decided to pass for now.
These photos reaffirm its place on my wish list! Not sure until I get one if there is a reason to keep my 24-70 f4 - your thoughts?

Thanks Paul.
For me there's no reason to keep the 24-70/4S around. Although its IQ is a little better, the extended reach is much more important for me. If I really want/need the IQ, I'll use the 1.8 primes.
There's a YT-video comparison from Nikon Ricci and there's a review coming up from Thom Hogan.
BTW the images on my iMac look much sharper then these on FM.

Thanks again Chris. Glad to hear from someone who has used both the 24-200 and 24-70 f4 that owning the former makes the latter largely redundant. The only 1.8 I own is the 50 S and figure that lens and my 14-30 would make a great travel kit with the 24-200 and my Z7. I owned the much maligned 28-300 twice and found it very useful but always wished it started at 24 rather than 28 even if it meant give up some reach. I assumed that your photos look much better without FM’s resizing and compression.
