My neighbor and her dog. This lady was a Rockette in her day. I am just getting started trying to learn to photograph people with their pets...A7RII and 24-70 2.8 GM.

Thanks...you are too kind. I have always been reluctant to photograph people. I don't really know why...it just makes me uncomfortable somehow. Maybe pets can be the bridge

I took this photo while visiting a coffee shop in Ashland, Oregon. It was right around opening, and this gentleman was the only customer besides me. He had taken a seat on this counter where the sun was peering through the window, so I had to ask him if I could take his photo. He was really nice about it and told me to drive safe after making acquaintances with my 15-month old son in a stroller.

Very nice, precious moments of beautiful children! :-)
Minor note - WB/color is just a bit off on these. #1 has a bit of reflective color contamination from green/yellow foliage - while #2 is a bit cool (shadow/shade). Hope this helps!

Thanks, Karen! For #1, I tried to correct some of it in Photoshop, but the scene had a lot of that already, so I just embraced it. There were maple trees behind me as well. I went back and forth on what effect I wanted. That said, I will continue to see if I can improve it.
For #2, you're absolutely correct. I need to be more attentive to that. It's my biggest struggle with portrait processing. Appreciate your comments.
