Fake rainy day shoot.
It's a very good start - I think one thing that kind of causes discontinuity is the studio lighting vs it appearing ambient but I like the image and rain layer!

Detective Bella is on the case!
I love your setup images and notes. Looking at the first image, I would never have imagined that the darkness behind her was an empty space, rather than a wall. Wonderful lighting to give the illusion of this really being a location shot of an actual window. Good news is, there was never any glass to clean. 🙃

Thank you so much for the kind words! I love this kind of shoots, they are always a lot of fun for sure.
I'm feeling a little dizzy looking at this "feels like I am right there" image. Is the subject truly that close to the edge? Regardless, great capture that I can't stop looking at.

Hi - yes he is right at the edge - pretty typical for him - perhaps being a Yosemite climber in his younger days affected him. I prefer to stand well back.

Sometimes I do shoot hot models like everyone else. ha ha Not so much any more - these are dredged up from the old days of the A7RII... The model traveled quite a distance to shoot with me so I repaid her with about a dozen different looks packed into our single session. These were a few of my faves...

Actually, I don't like using a MF lens since it slows me down during a fluid session like shooting portraits. I still don't but I do like the result coming from that lens...

Finally some portraits with some fully vaccinated folks! Woohoo! Both shot very simply and on the fly with natural light and a Sigma 50 Art + Black Pro Mist 1/2.
