Nice! Are these cropped or does this lens really have this little vignette on the GFX?
Some have a very mild crop or angle adjustment. The lens does cover better than any other adapted 35-50mm lens. The vignette is correctable, and the corners are sharp (no smearing).

Impressive. A very well corrected, very sharp F1.4 lens in medium format. Sounds very interesting. Does the autofocus work?
yes, autofocus works about as well as native lenses. unfortunately, the sigma 40 auto focus motor failed, so many of the images were manually focussed.

the 'look' of the samples here reminds me a bit of 28mm 1.4e.
And specifically with the Fuji samples, consider the 40/1.4 on the GFX is equivalent to a 31/1.0 on FF.
But getting back to Nikon gear, Sigma also recently released their own 28/1.4. Man do I wish someone could do a comprehensive head-to-head comparison of the Nikkor 28/1.4e to the new Sigma 28/1.4!

I already have the Nikon (which is one of my favorite primes), so definitely no plans to get the Sigma beast.

Canon version adapted to a GFX50s
What adapter are you using? I didn't realize there were any "smart" adapters for the GFX. This definitely makes it harder for me to resist the temptation to buy one.

Cool environmental portraits, btw!
I have two smart adapters, I was using a Kipon EF-GFX for those images. The Techart Pro EF-GFX works well too, and focusses a little faster.
