Still baffled as to why the 40 1.4 Art doesn't get much attention?? It's superb wide-open. A really special lens. Guess the weight (and the somewhat atypical focal length) scare many people off??
I guess so, too. It looked strangely long on my Z6. But I could hold the combination well and stable in my hand due to the high weight. On my D810 it is also a nice, well-balanced combination. Yes it is a special lens, super sharp and super corrected. It's my favourite lens.

Sounds promising! Been missing a "special" lens in my arsenal since I sold off my Leica gear so hoping this will fill that need. It's a wee bit on the heavy side but I have some lighter weight primes as well so should survive OK.
How have you guys found the focus shift "issue" in practice? I see some tests reported it but hard to say how--if at all--it affects real world shooting. Of course it's a non-issue on a Z body but for us dinosaurs using DSLRs it's al least theoretically something that might affect things.
