Sales said there is a mark on the bayonet to differentiate between M and FE version,
so there should be some optical adjustment for the thick Sony filter stack.
This is a standard order form for China (similar to those on Alibaba or Taobao). Once you tap on your selection it will have a red ring around it. Two taps required here 1. M or FE and 2. The package you want.

I own the M-Version (the one without flare) I use it on my Sony a7r3 with TAP (wobbling startet; maybe because of the weight or because I used it intensivley during the last year). Weight is ~510g together with the lens hood (original one from 7artisans). TAP should work until 700g without problems. Therefor I guess the problem is the usage after one year.
I have some photos of the combo here in my dropbox. All other photos are taken wide open. This lens has some character. Min autofocus! distance with tap is 20cm!

These producers are primarily concerned with the domestic market which is huge, and where the price differenc between a domestic product and a Japanese or a German one is a massive factor. The international market for these goods is still a bit of an afterthought....

I strongly believe that weight contributes far more than usage to inducing the wobble and therefore don’t use lenses weighing more than 350g with the TAP.

That is a fairly low weight that you are suggesting. I do not own the TAP myself, but even my Leica M WATE with the 67mm filter adapter, and B+W UV (without front 67mm replacement cap) weighs 12oz (340g) and Leica's spec weight for the WATE is 11.8 oz (335g).
I had the (pre ordered) TAP briefly before selling it off. I agree with Jonathon that you can not hang heavy lenses on it and expect it to survive for long.
Another important aspect that most over look about the TAP is that it has a chip from a zoom and that will impact the lens’ performance compared to a dumb adapter.
You mean info transfered for Sony inbody stabilization? And FL information (adjusted per smartphone or adapter itself).
Or is there something else that the adapter takes care of?

If it's true and there are two versions of this lens (optimized for E or M mount), it's definitely something to worry about even if both versions only fit the M-mount.
At 28mm, lenses designed for the M-mount usually show induced field curvature on the Sony.

Compare the 35/2 lens from 7A in M mount and E mount.
1. Did you already compare the 28 1.4 for Leica and for Sony side by side?
2. Both are M-mount. Both are mechanically the same.
Only difference is optics and a mark on the bayonet.
