Anybody going to swap their 85 f/1.8 FE for this if the lens is as good as it appears. I�m not in any hurry at all as I�ve got that 135 f/1.8 in my sights and even more so wish Sony would just hurry up and get that 500 f/4 out the door.

One more question concerning the its optics. Is it the same as in the 85mm Samyang without autofocus? So can I look at pictures of this non-af version to know what to expect? Or is it different?

Completely different optical design.

That was fast!!

Here is what it does....(version 2)...BTW: I thought the AF was already accurate with the previous version. Perhaps speed will be improved? I've ordered the Samyang station for firmware updates but won't have it for a while...

Nice to see Samyang on top of things.

It's unfortunate they opted this upgrade procedure when Sony body's are perfectly capable of acting as a dock (Sony, Zeiss, Tamron.. Do it). It's an unnecessary cost added to a value oriented lens.

Dumb question but wouldn't the Rokinon lens station work with the Samyang lenses. They are the same right? B&H has the Rokinon in stock.
