I finally was able to get down to the Cove here in La Jolla to try out my Christmas (present to self) a9 on some birds. IT is the breeding season so the Pelicans have their colors.
Amazing camera, does it ever miss? My hit rate is so much better than with my a7Riii which I thought was pretty good.
There was a workshop down there today run by Birds as Art. People from Europe and Asia came all the way out here to shoot birds. Living here almost my entire life I didn't know San Diego was such a birders destination. Everyone in the workshop except 2 were shooting Sony a9 cameras including Art. He says there is no equal.

Along Black Point Wildlife Drive, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, FL.
He drove right by it...it was an eagle. There has been Peregrines nesting on the bridge for years,,,fun watching them taking out pigeons over the little league field. I grew up there also, left for Oregon 48 years ago.
