It does support Z6: https://www.phaseone.com/en/Capture-One/Supported-Cameras.aspx

Nice - have it on my computer now but didn’t want to switch mid-shoot from 11 to 12 while I’m in Vegas. Will give it a try. Need to figure out why it doesn’t activate even though I have the subscription service

you can set it to auto send every image. ive only done a quick test, but i can send from my office to the living room about 20 ft away thru walls without an issue.

Thank you turbo, so if it goes at least 20' through walls and such, then outside I'm guessing it should have a longer range, so if I'm shooting and my wife is sitting 100' away it's possible it might send them that far.

im not too sure about that, wifi doesnt like to go 100ft out thru concrete walls or stucco. i can give it a try, but i think depending on the construction of our home, it wouldnt be a conclusive test.

Sorry, I meant 100' out in the open, so if I'm doing an outdoor shoot and my wife is sitting within line of sight without any obstructions it could work. I realize it's all hypothetical until it is actually tested, but with the good news that Snapbridge seems to be working much better with the Z series cameras, I thought that might be a cool feature when we head out to shoot some images.

I had to go back home and grab the 70-200 + 2x tcon. Haven't seen the North Shore so clearly in a long time.

400mm. 400 iso. 1/400s. f10.

BTW ive been getting in a little tiff with the boys over at Dpreview's forum regarding AF tracking, so i decided to post image sequence bursts while tracking Metallica. i guess it worked out that i shot a shit ton of images.

check it out here. God knows how many frames are actually in it, but it shows the AF potential of the Z6.

You did a great job showing that the camera can do good things in good hands.

I saw that discussion at DPR, but I didn't want to chime in when the camera is a relatively unknown quantity, especially to me. I think a lot of folks haven't yet understood how to set it up and operate it correctly to be able to make definitive statements about its capabilities or lack thereof. It might be just different enough that those of us used to shooting with DSLRs will have to adjust our approach a little bit.

Don't be too hard on the DPR posters though, even when they might deserve it. I shoot a lot of crappy venues - banquet halls and restaurants in low light, and it's amazing how much difference a directional light source can make in aiding AF acquisition. I'll often cheat off the video guy's or DJ's continuous lighting to help my DSLRs get focus. All those big stage lights probably help create enough contrasty edges to help focus. It is possible/likely that the light on parts of the stage was brighter than it was in the shaded ally/weaving bike test. Still the evidence from your usage is compelling. That's not easy lighting to work in - lots of stuff changing quickly, and lots of stuff to confuse the AF system, and it seems to have done well.

As I posted in a DPR thread, what these cameras really appear to me to need is an more in-depth guide to understanding/setting and using their existing AF systems.

I hang out way too much here! I think i'll buy the Z6 tomorrow!! Lol!! I seriously have GAS! I think it will be a nice addition to the d850 and d500. The z7 seems quite good too but I woudn't gain much compare to my D850. I will get faster fps with the z6, way better video, better camera for portrait, zero af fine tune for my lense. In canada there is a 1600$ difference between the z6 and z7.

I'll buy the z6 with the 24/70 f4 and ftz adapter.

I'll be hitting the street after dark tonight to test out my Z6 with the adapted 85/1.8G. I'll be sure to post a couple of results, focusing on high-ISO performance and sharpness.

In between periods at a hockey game usng a rental Z6. The freeze frame stuttering during a burst is killing me. Turning on first curtain helped a lot but its still awful. Suggestions?

Assuming you're already shooting in Continuous H* - try switching to 12bit compressed raw.
