Here are several images from this week, taken with the Nikon Z7 camera. The first two images were taken at the Skagit Tulip Festival, and the third image was taken while kayaking in the Skagit Estuary.

Some zoo and wild birds. All were shot in very low light and thus I tried to keep the shutter speeds low in order to keep the ISO low as I could. All shot with the Z7 + 70-200 f2.8E FL VR.

Golden Pheasant. What a stunning looking bird!

Gang Gang Cockatoo - female.

Regent Bowerbird - possibly the most difficult bird to photograph due to the yellow and black plumage and they are always in low light situations.

Here are a few images taken Monday evening with the Nikon Z7 camera. These images were taken from a location known as Samish Overlook. The second and third images look west, as the sun set over the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The first image looks south, with the town of Blanchard at the bottom of the image, and Mount Rainier in the far distance (125 miles away). For those of you that live in the US, you may have heard of the journalist Edward R. Murrow. His family moved to Blanchard when he was five years old. Edward R. Murrow grew up in Blanchard, and was later known for his courage and perseverance in the search for truth in journalism.

You are welcome The 70-200/2.8E is like a series of primes in your bag and at f/2.8, 135/200mm is amazing. Sure f/2 is better and will yield better separation and compression but the 70-200E is so fast and accurate with its AF.

Mayfield Falls in Jamaica, a very wet trip up the falls. I was so nervous about my gear, sometimes up to my chest wading through the water and over the rocks. Our guide carried my camera some times and it sure helped.
Definately worth the trip

I couldn't resist coming back home to Nikon. Now I just need somebody to sell me back my beloved 58G...and teach my kiddo to not do weird hand things.
