the above images from the GM are nice, the color and resolution
but using the Sony to Nikon adaptor, for me, it's not ready for portrait sessions

So I picked up my 4th copy of the 105 1.4E today.
and IT'S GOING TO BE GLUED TO MY Z7 NOW!

I'm going to post a few in separate posts.
they are all pretty much sooc jpg

with bump in contrast, for just this ONE picture below, and it's crop

IMAGE
and then crop

@sungphoto these are for you to compare
the GM images above, color looks just as good here, from the 105 1.4!

The very same for me, and image processing is much easier. Now you've got me missing my Nikon 105 1.4. I think I had 4 or 5 over the years and it would be great on the Z7. This place is so hard on my wallet.

How is the balance on the Z?

it's very front heavy with any 1.4/adapted glass
I don't see it as a problem
on my old Sony bodies, glass felt the same lol, aside from 28/55 FE, and maybe 85 FE1.8.
but I was rocking 35 1.4, 50 1.4, 85 1.4, 135 1.8 and they were all front heavy.

I will update the initial post here, with these findings

total length of z6/7 with S glass:
35 - 6 1/4"
50 - 6 1/4"
85 - 6 3/4"
24-70 2.8 - 7 7/9" (or a tad bit longer than 7 3/4")

total length of z6/7 with F glass + FTZ:
200-500 - 14 1/2"

reason for this exercise, I was looking at a bag online (for 1 body with lens) that maxes out at 6 1/2" long!
cheers all

Here are three images taken yesterday on a kayaking trip out of La Conner, Washington. All three images were taken on Goat Island, using the Z7 camera and the 24-70mm f/4 S lens. The second and third images are of Fort Whitman, an abandoned fort that was built over a hundred years ago.
