In body VR is quite impressive, my right hand is still recovering from an injury so my dexterity isn't back to norm and have limited grip tension. Most of the shots were less than 1/100s without a tripod
Picked up the camera on Saturday and headed out for a trip did not realize I need to get a different style cable release so been using timer. Is there no way to leave it in time mode? Keeps going back to single shot
Has anyone found a good Arca Swiss style plate that works without interfering with the FTZ adapter? I need something to use until an L-bracket is released...
@mysh mentioned he uses the Arca-Swiss P0 head with the 'skinny' dovetail, he/she could add more, if that is the case it would require a new ballhead.....
Those thinking of Z7 as an all around replacement camera should watch this. It seems to confirm my testing with autofocus in AF-C with low light. One of the reasons I did not buy it. It seems like a great camera for studio, and landscape. AF is proving to be well behind the competition at a much higher price.
This opens to the YouTube homepage for me, despite seeing in the link that that is not what you linked.
Not sure what's going on in the video, but I read on the Facebook group that people are struggling in AF-C single spot focus because pinpoint is enabled by default, which relies on slower CDAF. Could be what's driving many people's issues with it

Thanks, fixed the link.
I have now seen multiple tests with AF-C tracking issues in low light. The problem exists in all the focus modes. There were some rude people here on FM that attacked me when I originally reported my tests. My results now seem to have been consistent with other testing in multiple users hands I see.
I will say again, this doesn't make the Z7 a bad camera. It is superb in some regards. Just not competitive in this type of shooting.

I have not tested the tracking abilities of the z7 in low light but I have shot single AF in lowlight/night and I find it focuses better in the dark than my D850. Maybe tracking is its Achilles heel but it does focus well in lowlight in normal situations
I used a tempered glass screen protector made for the Canon EOS M3 M5 M10 and it fits pretty well. There is a little gap on the sides but I really don't mind. At least its protected for now.
