Did anyones Z7 camera come with a LCD protection film like normally comes on the cameras?
I have never had any my cameras come with LCD protection films. Usually within the first day I have mine covered by a good friend that is very skilled in making sure there are no bubbles!

After 1 full day of shooting I really like this camera. It’s awesome at video as well. I had it on my ronin s and it was fantastic.
I did notice a few quirks .
Viewfinder turned black and white for a few seconds once while shooting. And then After a few bursts on Max FPS once the buffer was hit , waited a few seconds and it froze , had to pull battery...

I change it to function 1 which is easier for me to access and I use fun2 for my non cpu lens selection that I only change that during off shooting such as before and after lens changing.

Nevermind I see its set for FUNCTION 2. I find it really uncomfortable to use the function buttons and turn the front dial
Did you guys set a button for AF mode changes? I guess this is the button I miss the most
Anyone see a setup video or tutorial yet. Not sure how I want to setup buttons for AF modes, shutter mode etc.

I left AF mode change to FN2. Learning to use my ring finger to press it. So far so good as I don't need to move my hand or change my grip on the camera to do that. Yes, it is still a bit difficult to use front wheel at the same time
FN1 is my quick access to My Menu for now.
I find front wheel is the most difficult to use when I press iso button and want to turn auto ISO on/off.
If the grip is a bit more chunky it would be even more comfortable for my hand.
I need more buttons

Could somebody please try Z7 FTZ with TC20e iii for me?
When I put 500PF or 70-200/2.8e FL on TC20e iii, I kept getting error message and Z7 kept asking me to press shutter button then error message came back again.
If I put TC20e iii alone on FTZ, camera was working fine and live view just show blurry image.
TC20e iii works perfectly fine with both lens on D850. Both lenses work fine on Z7 without TC or with TC14e iii.
I am not sure if it is a common problem or just problem with my TC. My dealer mentioned to me once that he tried 500PF with TC20 and Z7 works fine and even AF at F11. However he is in Germany for Photokina right now so I can' talk to him yet.

Handled the Z7 today and it felt very comfortable in my hand, but it also felt significantly more bulky than my A7RIII - it's not that much bigger in reality, but it feels that way (human perception is fickle at best I know). AF seemed fast enough, EVF was great as was the eye relief for a glasses wearer like me. It surely felt like a Nikon high end DSLR.
Likely I'll sell my D800 and grab one of these for use on a tripod as my main cameras will still be my A7RIII & RX1RII for anything hand held. The Z7MKII will be a heck of a camera if Nikon adjusts a few things here and there.
Nah. It's just the custom menu option. Shouldn't have any bearing on my shutter speed....
Did it ever work for you? If so I'd reset all the camera settings and start configuring each option back until it stops working again to isolate the option that precludes it.

Nope. Still doesn't work.
I'm hoping to hear from someone before I do a factory reset....but I'll do that tomorrow if still no feedback...
In body VR is quite impressive, my right hand is still recovering from an injury so my dexterity isn't back to norm and have limited grip tension. Most of the shots were less than 1/100s without a tripod

I was looking for a tempered glass screen protector to throw on my Z7 when it arrives Monday. I went on camerasize.com and looked up some cameras and found that the EOS M50 has a very similar sized screen to the Z7.. Ordered the M50 tempered glass and will see how it fits Monday..

These are absolutely impressive examples of what even the z7 with it's 45.7 MP sensor can do in low light and handheld up to 1 ( ! ) second!
WoW!
The Z6 will be even better in this regard.
This alone makes it so versatile compared to my old d800 and d750.
Time to sell something and jump on the mirrorless train. 😀

I was in a similar position trying to find a good tempered glass cover but my good friend who is a manager of Camera House on the Gold Coast suggested to use the generic polymer cover. He takes about 10 minutes and flawlessly you have a great cover on the LCD without the bubbles you often fight with the tempered glass covers.

Hey Charles, can you ship him to NJ so he can do my screen?
