Pretty close to the min focus distance. Plane of focus is very thin, even with the 'not so fast' f/5.6 aperture.

So after 8 months I finally had my 500 PF delivered. Went to one of my favourite bird haunts ASAP and these are the maiden shots.

So glad that you finally received your lens... it is a brilliant optic, to which your images illustrate... However, regardless of its optical qualities, it is your skill and eye that makes these photographs outstanding.
