Of course anything is possible. However, based on my exchanges with them, I don't believe this will happen anytime soon. Getting EXIF transmission is something I'm hoping could happen soon but not yet for the current announced lenses.

There is no space for electronic contacts with the screw in rear filter. I prefer the rear filters very much over exif data for no vignetting on a 10 mm lens and to pack the smalest vs the biggest filter solution for a lens laowa sells as a travel zoom. Just imagine to pack a 100 x 100 filter set plus adapted holder.

I only have 100 x 100. Glad I will not have to try wether they fit.

I am quite interested in this lens as I had the Leica M WATE (16-21 f/4) and liked it very much as a wide end solution. What I worry about the Laowa lens is that at f.4.5-5.6 that it won't reach its full potential even at f/8 and wide open it won't be all that good. I would really like the lens to be very good at f/5.6 or 6.3 and excellent by f/8. The WATE was able to accomplish that, but this lens that is slower I have my concerns. I hope I am wrong as this lens would work great either in combination with the Loxia 25, CV 40, & Loxia 85 or the Loxia 21, a future 28, the CV 40, & the CV 65.

I believe that at 10mm, it would be 150mm for sure. Lucky we don't have to worry about that with this lens since the extra glass is part of the optimal formula.
Remember the fiasco it was using this clip-on ND filter on the 12-24/4G?

This lens would certainly could hurt the CV 10 and 12mm. I’d buy this first.
Pardon my ignorance but isn't that true only with circular polarizers? I honestly haven't used a linear polarizer. Wouldn't a linear polarizer work best since the lens is MF only and the E-mount meters different than SLRs?
The fact that they include a filter in their pictures makes me hopeful that they incorporated that into he design and that they will sell recommended options.
Too bad the filter makes EXIF data impossible since the contact would be covered.

+ 1 on that, if the rear filter is part of the optical design then I would hope they offer a range of filters that match optical characteristics of their clear filter

Haida does offer 37mm for their NDs and it could be a good option as long as their glass thickness matches the lens' design.
I have a few of them for other lenses and although high quality, there is significant color cast.

There’s a Marumi which seems to have decent coatings unlike many at this size
