That is a valid point since correction could be dependent on focal length. And it will difficult to know exact focal length without the exif, especially if shooting somewhere in the middle of the range.

Like to see this size wise compared to the Laowa 15mm f2. Just to get a sense of it. Be nice to have the 10,12 alone and keep my 15 f2 . If it’s anything like the 15 it should be sharp
From the specs, it looks very close to the 15/2 in size and weight.
Laowa 10-18mm: 70mm x 91mm, 496g
Laowa 15mm f2: 77mm x 83mm, 520g
Compared to others:
Sony 16-35/2.8: 88.5 x 121.6 mm, 680 g
Sony 16-35/4: 78 x 98.5 mm, 518 g
Sony 12-24mm: 87 x 117.4 mm, 565g
Batis 18mm f2.8: 100 x 80 mm, 330 g
Samyang 14mm AF f2.8: 85.5 x 97.5 mm, 505 g
Tokina 20mm f2 AF: 73.4 x 81.5 mm, 464 g
Loxia 21mm f2.8: 62.1 x 72 mm, 394g
Voigtlander 10mm (FE): 67.8 x 73.8 mm, 371g
Voigtlander 12mm (FE): 67.4 x 74.3 mm, 283g
Voigtlander 15mm (FE): 66.4 x 67.5 mm, 294g

Looks very impressive!! Want to try this one.
It also looks like the kind of lens Samyang should have made. They had some good sharp, small E mount lenses. I wish they had tried lenses like this instead of their FE attempts at auto focus.

Depends on distortion, if they didn’t fight it too much and it’s simple, no biggie. If it’s wavy...

Wow, a rear mount screw in filter... based on the fact it’s got one in the Photos seems it might need a blank like mentioned above. Pretty cool idea. I suppose you could do a thin CPL for a static shot, but does seem less useful...

Why is CPL out Guy?
Sure, you would have to look through your CPL and orient it before mounting it on the lens but that's not too bad.
Yea that’s what you would have to do . It’s not out but would be a pain. Have to be careful of thickness as well. My guess is they may could possibly make and sell filters for it. Or someone like a Nisi could do a after market unit. This could possibly work with the 70mm filters.
This lens would certainly could hurt the CV 10 and 12mm. I’d buy this first.

Agree if it’s simple barrel we can fix that pretty easy .

Okay I’m speculating here. Given this diameter. My Laowa 15mm takes a 72 filter
Laowa 10-18mm: 70mm x 91mm, 496g
Laowa 15mm f2: 77mm x 83mm, 520g
Now I’m guessing since this lens is actually thinner, I’m wondering what the diameter of the hood is for a after market setup. Wondering if a 70mm or 100mm square filter would work.
