I put in a bid for $3,500. I received a counter at $3,900. I altered my bid to $3,700 and a business hit it.

You get more bang for your buck with higher ticket items of course. I've recently used their service once again since I am switching to Sony and I found it to be not as good as when they started out.
I got the Batis 25/2 for $1100. Not awesome, but still some savings over new and I don't mind paying the extra over used to get the fully intact warranty.
On the other hand, I made an offer for the 85 1.8 for $500. It expired. Then $525 with no hits. That's only $20 below retail so why bother at that point?
I've inquired about my offers and I have received no replies.

Yes, I got the same deal. I wrote GT and told them I was waiting for a better offer. They then wrote back saying hey could lock in the deal for 1199, but the vendor who was giving that deal had a 2-4 week backorder. No problem for me though, I locked in the deal and get to impatiently wait for the lens as all you guys post great shots with it!

FWIW, I got an offer of $1549 for a RX10 IV just the other day. That’s not bad $150 off list everywhere. I would have taken it, but ended up with a solid deal on one here on the buy/sell board.

I keep seeing used a7riii's for sale (and sold) for higher than what I paid through Greentoe - so if anyone is looking to get an a7riii, I was able to get it for $2,700 a month ago. There is a chance it might go a little lower now, but I would assume you could at least still get that deal.

I know... I don't get that. I understand that people may not be aware of GT, but I don't think it's a secret and people are simply not doing their research on the market before they buy. It's strange.

That is interesting, I did not get anything close to that 2 months back. Tried multiple times.
