Try opening the Godox upgrade software by right clicking on the icon and select “Run as Administrator” to open the program. That has worked for me in the past.
It worked for me as well. Thanks a lot !
It wouldn't hurt if Godox told us about this possible issue in their upgrade instructions. They say to close any other running applications and/or to disable antivirus but nothing about running their G1 software as administrator.

Not a bad idea. I am on Windows 10 and updated two just now using the same process I always use, removed the battery, plugged the USB and click Connect on the app then updated just fine.
As you can see on my post above, I updated from v14 directly to v16 without poblems, when I ran the G1 software as administrator in Windows 7. I didn't remove the batteries either

I only just realized that the X1T-S also fires the Godox 860 for Canon, it seems without HSS.
Didn't check HSS but yes. I use the v860ii for Sony and control several Godox flash lights for Nikon and Canon at weddings without problems.
So far, I used Phottix Strato, but think of replacing them with Godox now.

How did you get it to work? I went into AF illuminator set it to auto, but the camera's AF illuminator keeps coming on, not the trigger illuminator.

updated mine and works great. really hope they bring this to the speedlights as well.
Does anyone happen to have a complete list of all available custom funktion settings? This update added/changed #10 but what about #11 or #09. Do they change anything yet? The manual is obsolete after all updates in this regard.

No luck upgrading here. although I followed carefully the instructions of the pdf included in the downloaded file (X1T_S_V16.rar).
I connected the x1t-s to a USB port and ran the Godox G1 software. The transmitter is recognized correctly by the program and let me select "X1T_S_V16.fri" as a new firmware file. Then I see a message saying "Loading complete. Matching product: X1T-S" but when I click on "upgrade", an error message of "cache failed' appears and that's all.
It isn't that the process failed halfway and the transmitter is bricked; it works fine but I can't ugrade to v16 from my current v14 version
I'm running Windows 7-x64 and, as far as I recall, my former Godox upgrades went fine with the same Windows.
Any clues?. Somebody else here experiencing the same problem ?....Show more →
had the problem too. new try on other computer (laptop). worked. no idea what the problem was.

Godox identified the wide-aperture problem last spring and had promised a fix in “30 days”. Looks like this turned into 8 months .... better late than never. Since I mostly shoot HSS at wider apertures, TTL has been worthless on my AD600/AD200/685 flashes. I will be absolutely thrilled if this firmware solves the problem!! Thankfully, the latest Seikonic meter works with HSS, so that has been my workaround.

I absolutely hate windows. That’s me though. I do have access to them right now at the show I’m doing but not risking it while I’m on a gig and we have a red carpet event tonight with 3 shooters and Godox units in place for it. Not sure WTF there thinking almost every Pro I know is on a Mac
