Godox X1T-S Firmware V05 for Sony was released with a few updates included:
1. To make a compensation to the TTL output value at large aperture setting.
2. To add Fn-10 in custom function settings. When setting as 01, the AF-assist function can be used on Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera (some cameras e.g. A9, A7, etc.).
3. To solve the problem that the ISO will change to 819200 from 100 when A7RM2 camera is using the high-speed continuous shooting in M mode.
4. To add Fn-11 in custom function settings, so that the customer can set RFID.

No luck upgrading here. although I followed carefully the instructions of the pdf included in the downloaded file (X1T_S_V16.rar).
I connected the x1t-s to a USB port and ran the Godox G1 software. The transmitter is recognized correctly by the program and let me select "X1T_S_V16.fri" as a new firmware file. Then I see a message saying "Loading complete. Matching product: X1T-S" but when I click on "upgrade", an error message of "cache failed' appears and that's all.
It isn't that the process failed halfway and the transmitter is bricked; it works fine but I can't ugrade to v16 from my current v14 version
I'm running Windows 7-x64 and, as far as I recall, my former Godox upgrades went fine with the same Windows.
Any clues?. Somebody else here experiencing the same problem ?.

Try opening the Godox upgrade software by right clicking on the icon and select “Run as Administrator” to open the program. That has worked for me in the past.

You know I'm all over this. Thanks for the post/info. Didn't know I could update these units.
Oh I know a lot of people have been waiting for that TTL fix so looks likes its finally here. I am guessing that means they finally can release their PRO transmitter for Sony

Oh no, looks like the update is Windows only ?
oh, not sure as I have not gone home yet to try it and I only have Windows so maybe someone else can chime in. I dont think they will leave out Mac users though but maybe it is indeed Windows only, sorry :/

Unfortunately does not work on adapted lens
It does work with Canon lenses BUT we have to sort of reverse my recommendations for this as it requires Native mode to work.
So, for Sigma lenses you need the MC-11 for it to work or the Metabones in Advanced mode. For Canon lenses, only Metabones will work when used in Advanced mode.
It does work great though as I can focus in a pitch black room.

Yep, just confirmed that works with the a7rII and Sigma mc11 and Sigma 20mm Art and the 135mm Art!!
Does not work with the Sony LA-E3 and adapted lens..

Yep was not expecting the LA-EA3 to work. I wonder if LA-EA4 works though.

Not a bad idea. I am on Windows 10 and updated two just now using the same process I always use, removed the battery, plugged the USB and click Connect on the app then updated just fine.
