I am looking for a photographer to cover an event in Atlanta. It is a high profile corporate event. Do you or any members of this forum have any recommendations? Send them to [email protected].
I still stop in weekly... Haven't had much time on my hands lately with work and school.... Hope you are doing well. I keep waiting for another outing I can make it to.
Hi Gary, I'm in a kind of professional vacation from photography and web design, I'm selling snow for Christmas at the mall.
I would like to join any outing in January.
Hello, New here (just joined) and live in Dahlonega. I would very much like to hook up for some weekend shootings with fellow FM'rs. Right now Dahlonegas holiday lights are great. But best shot at night around 1-2 am will be going out this firday or sat to do just that if you would like to tag along[.

Hi Greg,
I'm new here too. I would love to. Can't. Working that night. Saturday night would be better.
Maybe we can do something else. I'm out in the Douglasville area. Thinking about going to the Atl Botanical Gardens again soon. I was thinking about doing a shoot in downtown too. Haven't done that one yet.
Good to hear form you! Looking forward to a meet. I also work nights but have fridays off (work M-T) I do some visual home tours on fridays(3-4 a month) and have the rest of the time free to fool around. The Atl Botanical Gardens sounds like a great place for some macro work count me in for that one. Also I have been thinking about going to the Chattooga River, but That will most likely be a weekend camping & photo trip. The Upper amicola river near Dawsonville is also a good place for fishing (and pic's). I have about 1 year exp with digital after about a 20 year period were I forgot what a camera was. I still have my old trusty Canon TX and Vivitar 100 flash. It was utterly amazing how it sprang to life when I put a new battery in it.
Actually, there is a fairly active group of Atlanta-area FM'ers and there are a number of outings throughout the year. It's always good to catch up with new members. Hopefully, you'll stay active with the board and join us on an outing soon.
I think somebody just needs to take the ball and run with it. Pick a place and time and let's see who can come. I am interested in anything as long as my schedule allows! I look forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks!
Well the time is set Friday night 1:00 am down town Dahlonega. I will be going to Helen before that for a party.I will do a photo shoot in town when I get back.If you can come great if not I will look forward to sharing my pic's on monday.hope some of you can make it but It is last min, and also very late.

I would like to go with some other "shooters" to the "Museum of civil war and railroad history" in Kennesaw on some saturday or sunday. This is where "The General", the most famous locomotive in the country, is on display. They have a huge display of civil war artifacts, uniforms, weapons, and much more as well as an extensive display of the "Glover Machine Works" where most of the locomotives in the Georgia area were built. It is a museum with a diverse and fascinating display.
Reply in this thread or PM me if you are interested.
It also is quite a lighting chalenge to shoot. I would be interested in going with someone who has more experience than me in shooting in difficult lighting.
Well, with the holiday being on Monday this week I'm sure there are some strange travel plans floating around but Nancy & I are going to the Chatt aquarium to shoot butterfly's on either Saturday or Sunday if anyone wants to drive up. Starting on Tuesday we will be camping at Amicalola state park through mid day on Friday. So we will be up there if anyone wants to venture up for some shots of the falls.
If I don't see anyone please have a safe and happy holiday, mark
Hello Mark,
I live about 15 miles from the park and would like to meet up with you all. What time are you going to leave on firday? Would that day be o.k
