Well I'm a little slow, but I too had a great time Saturday! It was nice to see everyone than joined in and even meet some new folks. I can't wait until the next outing......this one just wet my appetite.
hey all, i created a facebook group (if that's your kinda thing) for us. check out www.facebook.com and if you're in the atlanta, ga network (if not, join it!) search for Atlanta Photographers and my group should pop up first. If not, search for me (Andrew Maier) and check my profile and/or friend me
This way we can create events and such for our outings and everyone will get a message.
In addition I found http://photo.meetups.com has a photography group based in kennesaw, GA if that's more your thing. I did the fb things because it's free (meetups.com charges!!), and it's where I hang out often online.
Hey folks, I am going to be in Atlanta the weekend of 12/ 8,9, & 10. I have events to attend Friday and Saturday night but am open all day on Saturday and Sunday. If anyone wants to get together and shoot please let me know.
Greetings all,
I'm in Woodstock up by Holly Springs. Just purchased a Canon 1DsMKII with a couple of lenses. Leaving the film world behind with the quality I can get for the 1Ds - currently sellling off my Hasselblad H1 and will be putting up my Ebony 45SU and lenses in the next couple of weeks IF my tests with the 1Ds today confirm what I've been seeing in shooting with it around the yard.
Have any of you hiked in the N. GA area? I do a lot of hiking up there and would like to suggest one of my favorites: Falls Branch Falls (see images of it on my web site; http://www.shadowsdancing.com[/url] and then to lunch or dinner at the Village Restr. in Blue Ridge, GA. It has a great buffet and it's very reasonable.
Another favorite of mine is Cloudland Canyon - the two water falls there are among the best I've seen anywhere in the world. About a 2 hour drive from Woodstock. We could car pool.
Jack
Hi guys. Gary, I'm sure it was all good ! Anyway, I may be available the weekend Mark is talking about. Keep me posted, please.
Jack your idea sounds good, too.
I look forward to a get together...I miss all the fun we had last year!
Hey Jack, I'm always up for Cloudland Canyon. My December is starting to get full so it may have to wait until Janurary. But, pick a date and stick it out there; maybe I an make it.
Well, you were about 45 minutes away a couple of weekends ago. Actually you were on one end of Lookout mtn and cloudland is about 2/3 of the way towards the chattanooga end.
Nice falls and you will get your stairmaster exercise getting to them.
