JU, how cool would it have been to be on the ship when the shuttle launched...
Anyway, I decided to take a day and play hooky today. Spent a little time at the Nashville Zoo. It is smaller than the Atlanta zoo but I found it more accessible.
Hopefully the colors will be better this time. I guess I won't know until I get to work in the morning and see how they look there.
I think i'm finally getting a hand on my pp technique, though I think i made it more difficult by focusing only on using photoshop. Hope you guys dont mind two last schnauzer photos.
Hey Jon U, not sure if thats your plane or your friends... do they participate in Top Gun in Florida? its usually held in April each year for remote planes...
All I have to say is wow- I mean it is beautiful pu in North Georgia right now. I would estimate this week will be peak color. None of the leaves have dropped yet... I'm making a first pass thru what I took Fri and Sat but here is a quick teaser:
I had dinner with a couple of friends last night that spent last weekend up near Cherokee. They said the colors were great. I'm guessing that a bit lower might be good by next weekend.
I've had something pop up that may prevent me from going. I won't know until later in the week.
I am really enjoying the pictures everyone has posted here lately. Keep 'em coming!
I would really like to get together this weekend! I am shooting volleyball and football Saturday, but could maybe do something Sunday at some point...
We went to Cherokee National Forest South this past Saturday. It is just east of Cleveland, TN. We took a walk along the Ocoee River near the Whitewater Center from the 1996 Olympics. The colors are really starting to pop there: http://traceylong.smugmug.com/photos/409983737_8N2i5-L.jpg
