Great view into a world that is so different from our own, Grant. Thanks for posting them up!
That's gotta hurt about the Mark III - must have hit the floor with the 40D's corner directly into it. I guess it was after a bass guitar fell and broke the neck back in the 70's when i decided that things can't fall off the floor - so most of the time - that is where it starts out. A lesson hard learned.
yea - take a hammer to your Mark III and blame it on Canon - seems to be the mentality of some of the Canon bashing sites. I think the Mark III is a fantastic camera - even the old one usually delivered great shots. Sounds like it might not take a shot though - especially to its weakest link - the screen.
When I was a kid, I used to throw bricks at TV picture tubes just to watch them blow up. The view screen on the back of a camera should be too much different - just on a smaller scale.
Hi guys! Grant...what can I say but WOW! These are awesome (all sets). I really miss seeing you...we really need to get together soon! I am up near Chattanooga now, so maybe a trip to Cades Cove is in order this fall!
Hey Tracey - thanks for the link to the train shots - those are cool! I wonder how far you could string out PWs to get the effect he was trying to get. If you noticed in that thread - my buddy Rodolfo Paiz was posting there - he just sold his 200-400 on the buy-sell forum last week. Just cause money was tight - says he'll be buying another one as soon as he can - which for him and how much he loves that lens - will be weeks.
Well, anyone have plans for Labor day weekend? We will still be unpacking but apparently there is a jazz festival in our town square so I'm planning on attending at least one day's worth
I see a guy by the name of Wooten is playin there - i wonder if he's kin to Victor Wooten of Bela Fleck - now that is one insane crazy bass player! Watch this - he starts to get creative after the string breaks about 1/2 way through. I like it when things like that force people out of their comfort zone/box.
We're about to leave to head up to Chattanooga for the blues show tonight.
Not sure what this guy is doing hanging around. Maybe the Titans have something going tonight or tomorrow. I kept hearing this loud droning outside and found him boring small circles right above the house
