I'm in Stone Mountain and would be interested in doing a shoot, but we're expecting a baby sometime in the next...oh, 24 hours or so. Probably have to wait for the next one. I'll check back here when I'm available again.
Beth - Active Dog Photography, huh? You need to meet Molly, our Border Collie. She has a thing for flowing water, as in "it must die!". This snapshot isn't all that great, but it always reminds me of "Jaws" so I can't get rid of it.

Cheers,
Ken
Heh I love that second shot. Congratulations Ken on the baby, I hope things go great for you.
I'm very much into meeting other photographers. Someone throw out a date or a place, and I'll try my best to make it.
I now know what they mean by......."Busy as a Beaver".
It's time to put together another weekend shoot.........say Aug 13/14? Lets hear some suggestions as to the location. Hopefully the weather will be cooler and the rain will not be a factor. I'm open for either day and look forward to seeing some old friends as well as some new.
Hey, if you are doing something on Saturday I would be interested in hanging out with you all and meeting some new folks. Plus maybe some of your techniques and knowledge would rub off on me.
I live in the Stone Mountain area, and am happy as can be to have discovered a whole nest of you folks here in the Atlanta area. I'm relatively new to digital, but have loved photography all my life....still have a lot to learn 'tho.
I would welcome *any* opportunity to join ya'll for a shoot sometime, (although I can't go this coming weekend....gotta take my son to college.) My plan is to stay out from under foot, while learning from you more experienced folk....all while having a fun time.
Hoping to see some of you soon.......Until then.....
David....Great shots.....The first two were electrifying....and, I can even feel the wind blowing that tree in the third one. Must have been an exciting evening, between dodging raindrops and lightning bolts.
Anyone else heard about the Don Gale workshop at the Botanical Gardens. It's in late October and only costs $30 for the seminar. Here is a link from the Showcase store: Don Gale Workshop
Perseverence!....I'm determined to meet up with (and learn from) you folks...
Ryan....The Don Gale seminar sounds quite interesting....I'm asking some folks at Showcase about it. I'm hoping to have a new macro lens by that time, and would love to try it out at the Botanical Gardens.
Bob....We're practically neighbors!....(Good luck with your Chicago preparations, btw)....I live quite close to Mountain Park park.
Made my way to the top of Stone Mountain last Saturday morning for sunrise.... It was a hazy, humid morning....So the feeling was quiet and ethereal, rather than spectactular. Allow me to share these with you....and, I value your C & C:
Greg, that first one is a beautiful shot. It does convey the feelings that you suggest. Thanks for your good wishes. I live in Mountain Creek, in the Smokerise area, about a 6-8 minute drive to MPP. This Sat I'll start at 4 AM and do 20 of the 1 mile loops.
