My copy finally arrived from China today. Too late to go outside today but took a few pictures by available light indoors. Was fully prepared for a very soft glowy mess but was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable resolution and veiling flares. The image was easy to process. I added some clarity and removed the purple fringing. Everything was shot at F1.1. What do you guys think?

Nice, but try about f/1.2 (somewhere between wide open and the f/1.4 marking). I found a sweet spot there that has almost exactly the sane narrow DoF without so much of the glow and better contrast and sharpness (similar to what you get when shooting at f/1.4). It seems to be the sweet spot for me.

I tend to shoot a lot at this "1.2" as well. If you find the TAP tends to get fussy at 1.1 (mine needs updating) it helps to stop down just that touch as well, whether you are manual or auto focusing.

I started shooting between 1.1 and 1.4. I really like this lens. The color is very natural and rendering very dreamy.

Just came across this thread, and am very excited about this lens. Has anyone used it with an M10. Any issues?
I purchased this lens a bit more than a week ago and I couldn't find any issue when shooting with an M10.

I haven’t tried it on my M10 yet, as it’s glued to my A7RII(m). What profile, if any, do you use on the M10 with it?
I'm using the Noctilux profile. I did some research and according to people it's the one that works the best with this lens.

Same with me. I use Noctilux + VSCO film simulation by default now. Since the lens is somewhat less contrasty, film emulations seem to work particularly well.
